This young man is from the Tulalip Tribe. He is a Fancy Dancer, and I watched him as he proudly held his dance to a very high and energetic standard. The American flag bandana seemed to further represent his generation’s heritage and roots. The bandana is topped by what is called a roach which is made of dyed animal hair.
