While returning from southern Luzon via the southeast coast of Manila Bay in the Philippines, I encountered this young Filipino boy bathing by the side of the road. Stop the car! What a face! He used the water from the hose to wash himself, but mostly he played in the water with his yellow cup. His modest home was built of wood, and his mother sat on the stoop washing dishes using water from the same hose. The adults seemed comfortable with my attraction to their beautiful baby boy, but the child seemed less sure.
