SUMMER
(U.S.A.)
Oil
on Canvas - 24" x 24"
| The Native Americans see children
as Summer, when like the plants in the gardens and the trees
in the forest, you are growing and becoming the person you will
be as an adult. While, to my knowledge, this was not actually
her name, it seems to capture her presence. She was so proud
yet so shy. It took a bit of coaxing to get her to warm up enough
to offer up this beautiful smile. I think she relaxed a bit while
I was working on the image of her mother, “Beaded Crown”. |
