Upon my arrival in Tanzania, Africa, to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, I spent my first two nights at the Keys Hotel in Moshi. It was there that I met Zainabu, the mother of “Little Shamba.” She was a charming and open woman, and we immediately enjoyed one another’s company. She met my daughter who was also on this climbing expedition, and she couldn’t wait to let me meet her young daughter. We returned from our climb, and on the last day of our stay, she brought her daughter for me to meet. It was truly a pleasure and she posed beautifully so I could capture this precious moment.
